The farming business is using three Redrock machines: a Redrock TH 280 S Telescopic Loader, a Telegator 180 and a Redrock Hi-Flow slurry pump. These machines are being used in both farming businesses.
The Redrock Hi-Flow slurry pump has now been used for more than two years. The business had another Redrock standard slurry pump before the latest purchase. That pump had been used from 1988 until 2007. The new pump is also frequently used in both farming businesses.
Every year, about 3,000 cubic metres of slurry is pumped into the silos. In addition, slurry is also taken for manuring the land further afield. For that purpose, the business is using a 30 m3 tank filled with the help of the Redrock Hi-Flow slurry pump.
The brothers are very happy with the pump. The pump is very low in maintenance, which was an important factor in the decision to buy. “There are always jobs around the farm, and machine maintenance is definitely not the most rewarding job. Maintenance is very time-consuming work. That's what makes the Redrock the most ideal equipment for us: Low in maintenance and high in capacity.”
When asked to describe the machine with a few key words, Calis doesn't have to think for long: “solid, sound and simple.”
